A spiritual journal allows you to have a deeper relationship, intimacy with the LORD your father, it is a spiritual practice that allows you to express yourself, to share your thoughts, your feelings in difficult as joyful times.
"Words fly away, writings remain", a motto created by the romans which means that spoken words might easily be forgotten, but written documents can be conclusive.
Journaling helps us as Christians in our walk with the LORD, diverting our attention from worldly life and keeping our focus on things above.
Type of Spiritual journals
- Gratitude journal: helps you remember GOD’s faithfulness and keep a positive attitude; this is another form of worship. As you write down every little thing that you grateful for.
- Dream journal: helps you document your dreams as you recall the details and pray about them.
- Poetry Journal: it helps you develops your creativity/imagination and bring your thoughts to your father. Poem is an intimate form of expressing our feelings.
- Reflection journal: This type of journaling involves self-monitoring/introspection and analyzing what is surrounding you.
GOD has called us to have a relationship with him and keeping a journal is one of the strategies that help us in our spiritual growth. So pleaseeee, grab your journal and start this beautiful journey with our father!

Such a beautiful thought provoking blog. Might just go buy a journal now. Journals are like letters to God and we can look back at them years after for a reflection of how far we’ve come.
